Executive Housekeeper (Manager)

Job Purpose:
The Executive Housekeeper (Manager) directs and controls housekeeping operations and housekeeping staff to maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean customer rooms.
The incumbent will manage many priorities and demands while solving problems, supporting staff, and ensure standards are met.

Responsibilities:
Ensures all Housekeeping quality standard of operations, policies, and procedures are in compliance and consistently applied.
Responsible for assisting in the hiring, orientation, training, and supervising of property housekeeping team members.
Plan and prepare an effective work schedule for department team members.
Coordinates cleaning of guest rooms for proper planning of specific guest requests, VIP rooms, check-outs, and so forth.
Inspects all checkouts/stay overs rooms to ensure that it meets our brand standards for ultimate guest satisfaction.
Checks floor linen storage areas daily to ensure for cleanliness, adequate supplies and linen.
Assures carts are properly stored and vacuum cleaners are emptied at the end of each day.
Complete financial management tasks, such as setting and adhering to a budget and monitoring departmental expenses.
Handle administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to ensure rooms are turned over for revenue optimization.
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction for a clean and welcoming environment.
Assists in monthly inventory of all linen.
Coordinates housekeeping related activities with other departments.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 2 years; experience in a similar role Previous experience working in housekeeping is required.
Previous supervisor or manager experience is an asset.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and hospitality software (preferably OnQ, PEP).
Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.
Working knowledge of Federal and local regulations relating to OSHA and worker's compensation.
Ability to convey information, ideas, and direction clearly.
A proven track record of being able to lead a team and multitask.
Flexibility and a willingness to work beyond scheduled hours including on weekends and Holidays.
An ability to identify areas needing change or improvement to offer guests an excellent hotel experience.
Understanding of and compliance with hotel policies and regulations and communicating these clearly to the staff.
Must be an effective communicator, self-motivated, able to work with a team and independently and leads by example.
Maintain an open line of communication with other departments and management.
Reporting on daily operations in a timely manner.
